Travel
10 miles total travel is included per appointment. For distances over 10 miles, the travel charges are 50p per mile.
Congestion Charge – Traveling inside the congestion charge zone is payable by the client if applicable.
Parking – Expenses are charged to the client if applicable
If Tia must travel for more than 2 hours from her home address for your wedding, she may request you to book her accommodation the night before, depending on the starting time of the booking.
Consultation & Trial
Consultations & trials are carried out at my address in Stirchley, Birmingham for bridal bookings. Trials can take place at an alternative location if more suitable for the client (only if location is within 10 miles of Stirchley, Birmingham).
Bridal Payment Terms
Following a trial, to secure your wedding date, a non-refundable deposit is required. Bridal makeup deposits are £50.
This is deducted from your wedding day makeup and can be paid by bank transfer, or cash. The wedding date will be held for 14 days after your trial and will be confirmed once the deposit is paid. If deposit if not received in this time, the date will and be made available to other brides, but you may still book if the date is still available.
The remaining balance is due 2 weeks prior to your wedding date and can be paid by bank transfer.
Special Occasion/ Party Makeup Payment Terms
Trials are not available for special occasion/ party bookings. To secure a booking a £10 deposit is required per person, and the remaining balance is payable in advance of the booking or on the day. The payment must be made in full in cash or via bank transfer before makeup artist or client leaves the premises.
During busy periods and peak wedding season, special occasion/ party makeup bookings may only be available for 2+ people. The total number of people, timings and location must be confirmed at the booking stage.
Cancellation
Cancellation of the booking by myself will result in a refund of 100% of costs paid by the client. In the unlikely event that I am unable to make your wedding appointment due to an emergency, or severe illness, or unforeseen circumstances (e.g. pandemic) I will make best endeavours to find you an alternative makeup artist whom I highly recommend. They will receive a brief and any products required that they might not have in their kit.
Tia is not liable for cancellation due to circumstances beyond her control including but not limited to a pandemic, war or external unforeseen circumstances.
Cancellation of the booking by the client. Payments already made will not be refunded. If you need to cancel an appointment, please contact Tia as soon as possible.
Within 28 days of the wedding date, 50% of the final balance will be charged.
If the cancellation is made within 7 days of the wedding the full balance will be charged.
Tia is happy to make adjustments to the bridal party numbers if they are reasonable. If any members cancel less than 28 days prior to the wedding date the client will incur a 50% surcharge of the cost of what was quoted.
Lateness
If you are running late, please contact Tia immediately. Clients that run over 15 minutes late will incur a £10 surcharge and over 30 minutes late may result in cancelation to ensure Tia is not late for any other bookings. In the result of cancelation due to lateness, payment will not be refundable.
Out of Hours Bookings
A £20 additional cost will be incurred for out of hour makeup bookings made before 5.00am.
Photography
Tia will occasionally take photos of client makeup for marketing and portfolio purposes and to share with future clients. Please let Tia know if you would prefer not to be photographed of if you would prefer for photographs not to be shared on this website or social media pages.
Client Responsibility
It’s the client’s responsibility to make Tia aware of any known allergies or skin sensitivities that they or their party may have. Skin conditions or any recent skin treatments should be reported by the client to Tia prior to application. If need be, a sample test of makeup may be performed on the skin to test reaction (particularly for clients who suffer from eczema, psoriasis, sensitive skin or watery eyes). Tia recommends a consultation for this reason.
On the rare occasion that any of the party have any contagious skin or eye infections, Tia will refuse treatment to safeguard other clients from risk of infection.
*The client agrees to release Tia Patel Kooner, from liability for any skin complications due to allergic reactions.
All brushes, tools and makeup products are kept sanitary and are washed and sanitised between every makeup application.
